This game is actually based on the true story of Taro and Jiro, two of the surviving Husky dogs of a 15 member dog sled team, abandoned in Antarctica after a failed Japanese expedition in 1958. They were found alive and rescued by a returning expedition the following spring, and later became famous in Japan.
